Lord Leads Me

Yesterday I read Psalm 23 and the notes that go with it in my Bible for my quite time. The notes pointed out that 'He' and 'Thou' was talking about the Shepherd. As I thought about this I re-read the passage putting 'The Lord' in the place of He and Thou. It just really spoke to me when I personalized the He and Thou. The LORD knows when I need to slow down and rest and the LORD is with me through trials so I don't need to be afraid.

Verse 3B really stuck out for me personally when I replaced He...The LORD leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. The Lord is not going to lead me in the path of destruction. If I go that path it is by my own will. So many times I have gone off on a rabbit trail in my thoughts and actions and have been bitten by the snake - Satan. I have to stay on the LORD'S path to be protected.
